Our Team

Literacy Volunteers have a staff team of five. They work within Schools and Early Years to promote reading for pleasure.

The Schools team recruit, train and support Volunteers in primary schools to provide one to one consistent support to children with their literacy, boost their reading skills, ability and confidence in a fun and engaging manner.

The Early Years team work in the early years sector targeting and working with families in the most disadvantaged areas with limited access to books and reading material. They run free stay a play sessions with books and activities in libraries and communities supporting parents and carers to support their children’s early literacy development to extend the story at home.
